“I founded One West Sports with a vision of top-tier service and results, but with uncompromising values and honesty. That is what we have to offer.” Chris Gittings

One West Sports Agency was created in 2011, by Founder and President Chris Gittings. Prior to founding OWS, Chris spent fourteen years as a founding member of Hometown Sports Management (HSM).

“I founded One West Sports with a vision of top-tier service and results, but with uncompromising values and honesty. That is what we have to offer.”

During his career, Chris has been involved in the representation of a considerable number of professional football players. The list of players includes such notables as Danny Woodhead, Jake Scott, Casey FitzSimmons and Malcom Floyd.

Chris has built a reputation within professional football circles as an Agent with an eye for talent and an approachable demeanor. This has allowed him to gain the respect of numerous NFL contacts. When they discuss a player with Chris, they know they can count on his input.

While Chris is known for a friendly, but persistent negotiating style, his clients are consistently rewarded with top-level contracts when compared to players in similar situations, “there is a right way, and a wrong way to negotiate..but the approach might change depending on the situation. The best negotiators have a variety of tactics in their tool bag and know when to use each one.”

Chris has clearly become one of the top sports marketers in the business, as evidenced by deals with Nike, Adidas, Tide, Skechers and others. These included a world-wide marketing campaign by Skechers featuring One West Sports client Danny Woodhead, “Like many deals of this size, the negotiations can be challenging. There were times when I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen. There were times when we had to resurrect the deal in order to get it closed.” Gittings went on to say, “However, we could not be happier with the outcome. Skechers is a wonderful group of professionals. To date they have been fantastic partners.”

Gittings was a three year starter and four year letter-winner at OLB for Fort Lewis College, 1987-1990. He has lived in Helena Montana since 1991.
